Survival Guide when depression hits again

Just as I was feeling better, my depression hit me again and I started to slide downwards. The last time I saw my psychiatrist we talked about whether, when I am well enough to do it, I could write 'something' to help me BEFORE I end up in the dangerous territory of suicidal ideation and obsession.

The most difficullt thing for me when I get very ill being to TALK about what is happening and to ASK FOR HELP I wrote this little Suivival Guide to give me a 'plan of action', a little something to follow when I feel I am slipping downwards .

It is a very personal guide and I am not posting it as a guide to be followed by everyone but rather to encourage my fellow Bi-Polar Landers to write/create THEIR OWN GUIDE/PLAN.

I offer it with all the love, support and encouragement I can muster.

PS:There is LOADS of good medical advice and many instructions to help us when we are suffering from a depressive episode, and if I look at them all rationally they are very good. The trouble is that when I am severely depressed my mind can no longer functin 'rationally' and the advice/instructions are ueless to me.  The thing that makes my Guide helpful to me is that it is MY voice speaking to me, and it counteracts the depressive voice that invades all my thinking. This is why I so want to encourage other Bi-Polar Landers to write THEIR OWN GUIDE so that they can hear their ownn voice helping them.
